We hope that you are having fun while roaming around the Trot ON world, but we know at times you might get a bit stuck with something, so we have pulled together a list of frequently asked questions for your assistance.

No, once you have entered in your user name it can not be changed. This is for security reasons. If you wish to have a different user name then you must register a new account and close your old one.
1. Log into your account then click on 'Profile' (under 'My Seat')
2. Click the button called 'Edit profile'.
3. Scroll down this page and change your email address in the appropriate box.
4. Once you have made all the changes click 'Save' at the bottom of the page.
1. Log into your account then click on 'Edit my Profile' (in the left hand 'My Seat' box).
2. Click the button called 'Edit Profile'.
3. On the 'About Me' page you will see a button called 'Choose File' located at the top of the page.
4. Click this button and then choose a new photo from your computer.
1. Log into your account then click on 'Edit my Profile' (in the left hand 'My Seat' box).
2. Scroll down this page until you see the boxes with your address in and make any changes necessary.
3. Make sure that once you have made all the changes, you save them by clicking 'Save' at the bottom of the page.

2. Scroll down this page until you see the password section under your address.
3. Next click on the 'Click Here' button and follow the instructions.
Once you have made a comment, you have the option of removing it by pressing the delete button.
1. Log into your account then click on 'Edit my Profile' (in the left hand 'My Seat' box).
2. Scroll down this page until you see the relevant box and make the necessary changes.
3. If you wish to change information about your horses or your horse experiences then click on the relevant sub headers and make any changes that you wish.
4. Once you have made all the changes click Save at the bottom of the page.

1. Log into your account then go to 'Community' then click on 'Groups'.
2. To start a new group click 'Create a group' and then fill in the appropriate information.
3. To join an existing group you can click 'Browse groups' and pick out a group in a field of interest. If you know the name of the group click 'Search groups' and type in the name of the group you wish to join.
4. Once you have found the group that you wish to join click 'Join this group'. You will then be able to interact with other members of this group, post notes, add photos or videos and take part in the group forum.
You can only edit a group if you are the creator or a group officer. It is a fantastic way to get a forum going because you can set up categories that will encourage members to join in!
1. If you are click 'Community' then go to 'My Groups'.
2. Find your group and click on it.
3. Click 'Edit this group' at the top of the page and work through the section making any changes necessary which include:
Group Information
Customise Group
Edit Group Officers
Edit Group Members
1. To do this click on Contact us at the bottom of the page.
2. Make the subject "Report a Group" and send it to us.

1. In the 'Community' section click on photos and then click on the purple 'Upload Photo button'.
2. You can upload up to 8 jpeg images at once.
3. Give the album a new title or choose to add it to an existing album.
4. Once you have chosen all the photos that you wish to upload then click 'Upload your photos now' button at the bottom of the page.
Note: It will speed up your upload if you make sure that each photo is under 500kb. If you need help resizing your photos then see below for further information.
Apple Mac users:
1. Open iphoto and select the photos you wish to upload by highlighting them.
2. Go to File and click Export.
3. Go to the Kind click down menu and select JPEG.
4. JPEG Quality select Medium.
5. Size select Medium.
6. Click Export. A box will appear asking for you to select a destination. Make sure you file them somewhere you can find it.
7. Your photos are ready to upload.
PC users:
1. Microsoft have a free image resizing tool for Windows XP. Download it here and install the software by double clicking on the file and following the instructions on screen.
2. Once you have installed Image Resizer, go to the folder on your hard drive where your photos are stored and look at them in thumbnail view.
3. Right click on the image you would like to resize, and click Resize Pictures.
4. In the Resize Pictures dialog box, click the size you want your photo to be, and click OK. In general, Medium is a good selection for uploading to Trot ON.
5. The original file, is still intact; and a new, resized file, will be added to the same folder.
6. You can now upload the smaller image to Trot ON.
1. In the 'My Seat' box on the left of the page click on 'My Photos'.
2. Find the photo or album you wish to delete and click on Edit Album.
3. You can then delete the entire album or delete individual photos by checking the appropriate boxes and then click submit.
Click on the 'Report this photo' button, you will find this on the slideshow page for every image.

In the 'Community' section click on Videos then click on 'Upload Video' and follow the on screen instructions. At this point we only support videos that are from You Tube, but we hope to be expanding this soon!
1. In the 'My Seat' box on the left of the page click on My Videos.
2. Find the album that the video you wish to delete is located in, and click 'Edit Album'.
3. Here you will find a 'Delete this Video' link to tick.
4. If you wish to delete multiple videos at once, click 'Edit Album'
5. Tick the boxes that you wish to delete and then click Submit.
Click on report video button, you will find this on the slideshow page for every video clip

1. In the 'Community' section select 'Members'.
2. Once you have found the person you wish to ask to be a friend, click on their name and you will be taken to their profile.
3. To invite them to be a friend click the 'Add as friend.' button.
1. In the 'My Seat' box on the left of the page select 'My Friends', which will load up a page with all of your friends on it.
2. Under each of your friends photo you will see Remove friend link to click.
3. You can also remove a friend within a group. In 'Community' click 'My Groups' and click on the group you are a member of.
4. Click on 'Our Members' and you will find all the members in the group. You can remove a friend on this page.
If you have an issue with another member seeing you or contacting you on our website then you can block them. This is different to removing them as a friend because you can leave your Privacy/Options open to all members while still excluding a member you do not wish to view you.
1. In the 'My Seat' box on the left of the page select 'My Friends' which will load up a page with all your friends on it.
2. Under each members photo you will see the box 'Block this member' link to click.
If you have an issue with another member that you feel breaks our Terms and Conditions then you can report the member to Trot ON. Click here to report a user who has been abusive. This will take you to an email to fill in and send to us. When you fill in this email please include:
1. The name of the member you are reporting.
2. Why you are reporting them.
3. The URL of any evidence that may help us.
4. The date and time that you found the content.
5. Click 'Send this message to us now'

This will depend upon how you have set your Privacy/Options in 'Edit Profile'. You have 3 options which are Anyone, My Friends or Just Me. These options will also affect other members searching for you with our 'Search' tool and also with in all of the groups.
All of the messages that you receive are only visible to you. Your Inbox is private. The only members that can view the messages you have sent or received are the recipients or senders of those messages. Please remember to protect your password and never reveal it to anyone even your friends or family.
1. To do this click on Contact us, you can also find this at the bottom of every page.
2. Make the subject Close this account and send it to us.
3. Your account will be closed as soon as possible.
1. Log into your account.
2. Click the button called 'Edit Profile' which is in the ÔMy SeatÕ box on the left of the page.
3. Now click on the tab called 'Privacy/options' and make any changes that you wish. Here you have total control over all of your content, and what you wish to display or keep private.
4. Once you have made all the changes you remember to save them by clicking the 'Set up my privacy options now' button at the bottom of the page.
Your Privacy/Options in the 'My Seat' area control all of your settings while you are on this website regardless of where you are. Once you have selected how you wish to be seen by other members this will be remain consistent until you change it.
Go to 'Privacy/Options' and make sure that the boxes you wish in Show these things on 'My Seat' Page are not ticked.
1. Log into your account then click the button called 'Edit Profile' which is in the ÔMy SeatÕ box on the left of the screen..
This is where you can change information about yourself or your horses/pets. You can also change on who and what other members can see. If you are concerned about all members seeing your profile then you should consider changing your profile so that it is only visible to you and your friends. You can hide any of the following from other members in the 'Privacy/Options' which give you the options below:
1. Who can view your profile.
2. Who can view your photos or videos by default.
3. Who can comment on your photos or videos by default.
4. Which of your actions will be displayed on you notes to your friends.
5. What will be visible on your profile page.
Just make sure that you un-tick the boxes that you wish to be hidden.
