My friend was eating a toffie apple, she was standing right next to my pony and yes,, he grabed it out of her hand an ate the lot! He is known for his large appetite! He also had a slurp of her orange juice without her noticing! Jessica x

We occasionally ride our horses down to the pub and Millie and Farlow love to share a pint of cider and some ham and mustard crisps- I know these aren't vegetarian but they turned their noses up at the plain ones!! One day my husband had a whisky and Farlow was a bit miffed that he hadn't offered him some so he shoved the glass with his nose when my husband was drinking it-there was an "OW' and a bit of spillage which Farlow kindly licked off his hand!!! Farlow has also given a helping shove with his nose to horses in front of him when they've hesitated to go over a ditch out hunting and is always opening doors and gates. He's actually shoved me off the lorry a couple of times!! Pic of Mr Shoverman showing a girl a good time with his nose below!

There are a whole series of horses that seem to like a pint or two...Horsegirl's Misty likes a pint of Guinness and I seem to remember a blog posting a while back where a horse was banned from a pub..I'll dig it out - in the meantime here is Misty!

I can also remember ( actually my family will never let me forget it ) I decided that my pony at the time needed to be fed boiled barley. The racehorses got crushed barley, but that was not good enough for my pony she had to get boiled barley. Only problem was I boiled up enough for a week. I was looking after my best friends pony at this particular time and I decided to ride it back to her place on the Saturday leading my own pony and then ride her back home. Another friend came with me on her horse. We got about half way back home and after my pony behaving very strangely and becoming very unsteady on her feet, I rang my dad from a very nice lady's house and he came and picked us up. After he found out what I did he decided my pony was very drunk...cos I had boiled up enough barley for a week it had fermented !!!!! Needless to say, that now when I boil up barley, I do enough for one feed...
