I noticed that a few hours after my horse urinated that there was fine yellow powder left, is this normal? I am starting to worry now. |

Yes it's fine, don't worry about, horses urine varies in colour and strenght depending on how much they drink and how often they wee etc (bit like us really). My old boy has left power patches on his matting all his life, he's not a big drinker and his P is always quite dark and rich smelling! Youngster drinks loads, lighter P and no powder. |

If you are in doubt or corncerned call your vet and speak to them, they may just want to check him over for you. |

Horse urine is often quite strong-smelling due to the high protein level and depending on the amount of water being drunk. Sediment is not unusual. Unless your horse is showing signs of illness in other directions and the pee has blood or other issues then I wouldn't be too concerned.
