Theres no lameness, no heat, and no pain, and it doesnt seem to concern her one bit! However should i be concerned about it? Its been like this for two weeks now and i,m wondering if i should get her something thats anti inflamatory?! |

Hi
Hock swellings like that are not uncommon. They can be tricky to treat and difficult to get down. If there's no lameness I see little point in anti-inflammatories. You could consider homeopathy. I have had some success treating these with scenar but I don't know where in the country you live! Best wishes HorseVet http://www.naturalhealingsolutions.co.uk |

Re. swelling, Thank you for your reply, its now been four weeks and the swelling has almost gone, i suspected the hock may be left with the windgall like little round lump on the outsite but even that seems to be subsiding. I live in west yorkshire and am interested in homeopathic remedies and will be looking into the uses of them. Thanks again Lisa. |
