Hi, I'm only just over the border near Sudbury in Suffolk, I don't get my horse out too much these days as he headshakes in the summer, but am thinking of going back over to Wix to give him an outing, so might see some of you there! I am hosting a clinic with Kathleen Lindley in Hartest next weekend if anyone is interested, she is from the States, and I have found her really inspiring, I've learnt lots from watching clinics as well as participating.

Hello I really wanted to go and see the Kathleen Lindley clinic but forgot about it in the end of term melee. I went to the one in the winter and loved it. Can you post on here to remind us when the next one is so I don't forget. Is there a report on this one just gone? Sophie

Hi Sophie! Yes will remind people if I do it again, still a bit knackered from this one at the moment. I will see if I can make sense of my notes, and post something. But all is not lost if you still want to see her,and are prepared to travel, she is in Edgware today til Thurs, and then in Beds Sat and Sun - I may well go on Sunday, it's only about an hour and a half, and would be nice to just sit and watch without being responsible for anytning! You can learn so much from watching her, can't you? I was pretty chuffed to be doing some flying changes with Bob, still not quite installed, but I have loads to work on. There were 3 of us who did the clinic in November, and we have all improved no end.I have some bits of video, and may well show it one evening when we get it sorted, you are welcome to join us if you are interested. Do you know if Mark Rashid is coming back to England again? I would love to go to one of his clinics. I might even go to America just to see him in action. I love his books - they are the best. DO you run any other clinics or can recommend any? I am going on a Kelly Marks clinic next month.

Mark doesn't have any plans to come to England at the moment from what I hear. I went to Lucinda McAlpine's demo on Intuitive Riding recently which was very good. I have no definite plans, but might see if she could come and do something if enough people were interested, and also have been chatting to a lady in Norfolk who has a natural horsemanship based riding club, who may come down and do a demo. I do love Mark's books as well, I have just been lent his new one to read. I have never seen Kelly Marks, so would be interested to hear about it, are you just spectating?

Shame about Mark - I'll just have to go to America then! I am doing the perfect manners course. It is just a two day one. I will post a full report but it is not until the end of August. I saw Lucinda at the Holistic Horse Show and really enjoyed her show. It's a shame that all these people are so far away.

Lucinda is at Patchetts soon, I think. I'm off to see James Shaw in CHelmsford tomorrow night, he does Tai Chi for riders and is talking about biomechanics

James Shaw was excellent. I went to listen to him talk and then did his dismounted workshop in the morning. It has made such a difference to my riding. He is coming back to Essex in September.

Yes, great wasn't he, I'm doing some of the exercises from the book. Have just read Mark's latest book - 'Whole Heart, whole horse' - it's excellent, love it!

I want to start a mini Essex and suffolk natural horsemanship riders club to coordinate these sort of events so we can all get together and go. I have also spoken to Emma who is quite happy to do demos on free schooling (very much based on Lucinda Mcalpine's work) where she works a team of horses loose together, and handling youngsters (join up etc.) She is very experienced and talented but a little disorganised and shy. I think she would do it if I organised it for her so let me know anyone who is interested. Soph
