Or for the gentlemen among us: Grubby Gelding or Stylish Stallion? Personally, I have to confess I fit into the messy mare's category- both at the yard and at home! Unless I'm taking the ex-racers to a race meeting or taking one to a show, I am totally unconcerned about the way I look. I can definately understand why people can be worried about how they look around horses (or anywhere else!) and I suppose it depends on the kind of place you ride at. I am 15 and work with the racehorses with all adults, there's no one my age around. So there's no self-consciousness for me, everyone dresses a bit higgledy piggledy becuase we're all there to love horses, be around each other and get covered in 14 horse's worth of mess ;) what about you? Are you always stylish or are you always scruffy? Or is there a time and place for both? Would love to hear about it! x

I'd say both, but mainly messy mare haha. Only time I'll 'dress up' down the yard (do my make up and actually think about what I'm going to wear) is if I know my mums coming to take photos lol. Otherwise, this is yard me 90% of the time xD

Outside of the yard, I'm pretty much the stereotypical 'ploddy cob' in the sense of making effort. If I can be bothered I'll dress up, if not it's still minimal effort! :D Picture: Think I match baby Mia here! :P

I'm a messy mare, couldn't care less what i look like if i am honest, i will happily go shopping with hay in my hair and stinking of horses. When i go out on a weekend i still don't dress up too much because i really just can not be bothered xD

Messy mare! And I often go to the supermarket on the way home from the horses. I have got so use to look like this that I feel unnatural being dressed up :)

Messy Mare all the way! lol. I wear jeans and a t-shirt all the time! I will go out with my jacket stinking of horses and love it! If you watch me there will be many times i will smell my sleeve and smile, just because it smells like horses. My friends think I'm crazy... O and my locker is filled with pictures of my horses. All my horse stuff is the cleanest, neatest place, all the other stuff? disasterous, lol. And Junior's more like a Grubby Gelding...

Messy mare. I can't help it! I mean well but at the end of the day, chasing the kids and fussing over the horses the mess just finds me! LOL
