Every Xmas eve I would go to sleep hoping that the next morning I would wake up to find that my parents, worn down by the years of nagging, had finally given in and got me a pony.Has anyone ever had their dreams come true or like me still waiting? Not for Christmas but the best suprise birthday present ever was my first horse Katie:)I was 8yrs old. I remember not wanting to go with my Dad & Grandfather to our 5 acre property to 'help' paint the house but they insisted. I was sulking in the backyard when Dad called me around the front. I came around to find a horse float in the driveway & the most gorgeous white horse I had ever seen backing off the float(I was a horse mad 8yr old so anything could have backed off that float & I'd have fallen instantly in love!) the BEST present ever!

I haven't given up hope yet! It's wonderful to read the lengths people go to keep it a secret! XxMagicMezzieX what a moving video, had a lump in my throat, will be thinking of you on Xmas. I watched the comedy show Cheers the night before I sold my first pony, and to this day I can't listen to the theme tune without feeling a little upset.

Why did you sell her? It seems like you had a great understanding of each other

Yup this year :) Well actually we have been looking for a horse for a few months, and i like it was in October we found this horse named obi. I loved him since the first time I rode him so we went back and picked him up for a trial.. But he didnt pass vet check. D: I was really sad but we kept looking, and eventually we found this one named Logan. The owner has a barn that shows in our circut so we knew her. I thought his vet check was going to be the next week, but I had no idea my parents had gotten a vet check while I was at school and drove all the way down to logans barn and picked him up, brought him to our barn I ride at. I went there thinking I had a normal lesson and i went across the barn to the boarders side, and there he was!! I got him on the 9th of december this year so only over a week and so it was pretty much a HUGE christmas presant!

Yes I did. Years of nagging from age 6 I finally wore down my non horsey parents & got a horse named Johnny for X'mas when I was 9 & my sister 7. Smiles were everywhere & photos had to be taken. I was put on Johnny double up with my sister. My parents had a little box brownie & clicked the first shot. Johnny got a fright at the click & bucked my sister & I off & we both broke our arms for X'mas. Sadly I never saw Johnny again even though I kept insisting it was not his fault. I am still riding, breeding & showing today at 40, something my parents still do not understand :)
