I can't get my horse to listen to any bit! when I got her she was in a western curb (she barely listens), and I moved her to an eggbutt snaffle (no luck, she won't listen), I got a weymouth (very little listening) and now she's in a kimberwicke and won't listen to it at all. WHAT SHOULD I USE? |

The 2 reasons i can think of is either you are asking the question wrong or your horse has been pulled in the mouth so much in the past (not nessicarily by you) that she is 'dead in the mouth' and pays no attention to a bit. I wouldn't try stronger and weaker bits but i would suggest a bitless bridle, you can rent some different types and see which is best for you before buying one, i would try a english hackamore, german hackamore, dr cooks bridle, bosal, LG bridle and dually halter, see if any of these work, she might be trying to tell you she doesn't like bits :P |

I would send he to a breaker and get them to retrain her mouth. It sounds like she wasn't properly trained. |

I put the weymouth back on her and she listens to that fine now... but I can only use that for dressage... are hackamores allowed in the jumping scene? |

Yes they are, lots of showjumpers use hackamores :)
