Usually I use a regular English bridle with a snaffle bit, sometimes I use a stronger bit for the naughty ponies, but otherwise, I like snaffles. |

I have a William Micklem bridle from Horseware Ireland and also a Lucinda McAlpine bridle from the saddle exchange(a present to myself lol). I use a rubber covered loose ring snaffle most of the time and very occasionally use a Neue Schule Tranz Angled Elevator Lozenge bit on Millie when I need to do fast work especially in company! |

I have so many bridles OMG!! I have a suffolk dressage with a flash, I use a weymouth and bit guards with that... A bobby's tack plain snaffle bridle with an eggbutt snaffle... A heritage snaffle dressage bridle with a kimberwicke... my blinged out western bridle from weaver leather with a curbed and shanked bit with a copper mouth, and an arabian show bridle (with the little tassles). I mostly use the suffolk bridle with the weymouth... but i'm weaning Jamaica off such a harsh bit and back down to the eggbutt. For quick rides, or bareback I'll ride in a rope halter though. Jamaica just broke my leather western bridle... so I'll have to come up with another of those! ^.^ X |

Mine is just a plain cavesson bridle with french link loose ring snaffle, or french link eggbutt. I can ride in a headcollar and leadrope though...have done on many occasions in the snow or when I've left my bridle at home after cleaning it. |

I strictly ride Sheridon in his grackle with eggbutt french link bit, and his bungee(Only use it through the summer just to try and get him working through his back, plus it helps to reduce his giraffe neck!) we do have a cavesson but Shez doesn't have as much respect for it and tends to listen more with his grackle :)I've ridden him in a headcollar with leadropes before and well, it wasn't to bad but brakes were not an option haha!

I use what ever is set up. Phil when she jumps though has a cavesson with a shadow roll. Very loose too. It's just to hold the shadow roll on her nose. And fox is the same but without the shadow roll. His is loose and just for decoration at shows. They are both ridden in snaffles, Phil in a single link loose ring.. fox in a double link loose ring. |
