I am a keen animal photographer and I know how hard it is to find a camera that will catch all four of those flying legs! I use an 'Olympus PEN EPL1'. It's a very good rpice for a Digital SLR, but it performs very well and with the comforts of being digital. It's unbelievably easy to use- if you're a camera genius it's got all the tiny adjustments you can make manually for that perfect shot, but if you're like me and just want a really good photo, choose a setting and it will do the rest for you, just press the shutter! For action shots, set it to 'Sport', 'Children' or similar in 'Scenes' or, you can manually set the apeture speed :) also, it's been designed so it's really small and light for a proffessional camera :) hope this was helpful and have fun taking pics! I've included an action shot taken of me (it's out of focus on this pic, but it caught the canter beautifully. It was my Dad using it so it's not the best the camera can do lol!) x

It's also good for close-ups and catching beautiful light, my profile picture was taken with this camera :) x

I'm Studying photography this year and I have a Nikon D3000 Which is a really good SLR and like OffTheTrack has said about hers, with this one you can set it manually with loads of different settings or its has automatic settings (sport, closeup, portrait, landscape etc) I Also have a canon E0S 450D Which is very similar to the Nikon. I love both cameras and they both take fab photos. x

OffTheTrack, I've got the same camera as you but I'm not quite getting the photos I wanted when it comes to action shots. I may have to chat to you and get some advice!! |
