I remember when my horse had his operation and for a week he had a drip on and was very weak, he couldn't walk particularly well and kept falling and it broke my heart, but i spent lots of time at the vets just sitting with him i took him a box full of treats every day and gave him lots of love when he needed and space if he asked for it, it wasn't nice seeing him so vunerable but now he is happier than he ever has been once you get through the worst you hardly remember it happening, the best thing to do is to try and stay happy and positive around your horse he will pick up on your good energy and feel better too
