my horse when i forst got her used to be really jumpy. but trying everything horse agility and natural training ways now she so calm, shes not bothers by anythign at all, you can swing a whip around her head and she will stand there not even move, children running round shouting screaming shes so calm, a 5 year old girl wanted to lead her over poles and she did (i was closer to the horse but the girl had the rope) she will do anything at all, unbrella open on her nose she wont do anything. the only thing is now shes so calm and listents to my voice mainly, if i want to show join up i cant as she so calm you can swing a lead and that and she wont do anything. its cool but can be annoying sometimes, how ever shes the calmest on the yard and the y9ungest, just turned 3 TB mare. |

That's brilliant that your horse has become so trusting and calm. I wouldn't knock the fact that she doesn't do join up-that because she IS joined up. Monty really developed Join Up for wild horses. It's the idea that you send them away from the herd, being outside the herd isn't safe and so they want to come back into it. Your horse is part of your herd and proves that all the time so how can she demonstrate join up when she is Joined up. Sensible mare I say :) |

Ha jump123 that's awesome, you must be a great trainer! So give me some advice here if you please... My boss has a horse, Luke, he is VERY moody... Some-days, when I just go near him, he puts his ears back! Then if i go to pet him...Well... He'll swing his head back with his ears as flat as a plate. He use to be my Best Friend... I was the only one he let touch his ears (believe me he would bite anyone else....) What do i do! How do I get him to trust me again?!
the picure below is stirke(bay) and luke
