Okay so I lost my confidence with my first horse, and I have never rode bareback before and I want to, but I am too scared to. Help or advice?

Same here i have problems be confident with canter. But the thing i find that helps me is to whisper to my self totally off topic that makes me happy. Like anything. Some times i whisper cotton candy and it sounds silly but it helps. you need to be gripping with your thighs. If you are to scared to do anything you can canter on a corner and circle if it gets out of control. Most horses will try to take care of you too and wont take advantage of you. But some still will. Maybe trying singing to yourself too :) Hope this helps a wee bit!
