On Sunday night I got bitten by a horse that was in a field that was public foot path, it was a riding school horse! Well my bite swelled up and was bleeding under the skin, I was taken to A&E and the doctor said it had taken a chunk out of my leg, what do you think of dangerous horses on a public footpath? I was just glad it happened to me not a baby or child !

I don't think a horse ca be called dangerous, all horses can bite or kick, grenville has done both in the past but i wouldn't call him dangerous, infact he is very gentle, all i am saying is it could be a one off, the horse might never ever have bitten anyone before and just had an outburst, but then again it shouldn't be on a public footpath if it is prone to biting, then again it will be the riding schools land and they will have agreed to the footpath so you can see it from that side too, as in they might only have limited amount of grazing available and it was their land before it was a public footpath. I don't know what to say lol other than ouch hehe i know how much it hurts but where there are horses there is a risk, even if you are just in a field with them, they are animals at the end of it even if they are amazing ones! I think the only fair way to solve this would be for the riding school to put a notice up about the pony and that children should be supervised and entering is at persons own risk because horses can be unpredictable.

The riding school don't let people ride the horse that bit me because he throws them off or bolts, I don't think I am the first to be bitten or kicked by that horse but I am the first one who has been to A&E I think I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but when he bit me it seem so natural lol

Why don't they just sell it then lol it must be useless if it doesn't get ridden! And its true i never went to A&E when my friends horse bit my back, i had a bruise for days, really hurt lmao but i have been for horse related injuries :P i still reckon the only thing would be a sign, what else could they do? Other than sell it

i was always taught as a child not to go near a strange dog as it may bite...really the same view should be taken for a horse, if you dont know it dont go near it, even if it looks friendly. people always bring their children to talk to romany because shes the cute little 12'2 pony, but she hates children and is very likely to bite or kick them.
