Well the farmer who owns my yard puts the rent up £2.50 every 6 month and since i got grenville it has been going up and up and up and now he is putting hay and straw prices up! And my mum isn't well atm so is getting half pay, i am at college and weekend jobs are few and far between, my grandad who pays for grenville is retireing so inevitably i am going to have to move yards to a cheaper one :( this is the worst decision ever, i love my yard, it isn't bitchy and everyone gets on and helps each other and i am worried moving will upset grenville who has been in the same place since i bought him and he has firm field friends and loves the yard and although my friend (and her horse who happens to be grenvilles best friend) is moving with us from the same problem i am still really really worried, after 3 years it seems like we have been there forever but it is just unaffordable with my mum off ill and dad off looking after mum and facing redundancy! Bloody stupid country getting in debt and using us to dig themselves out of it!!! Argh its so stressful and part of me is saying don't move (i haven't told the yard owner yet or formally decided) but i know i am going to have to do it so i might as well bite the bullet and do it now. Anyone else having any of these problems atm? Not to mention my farrier is off injured (he charges £45 per set of 4 shoes) so i have a sub farrier (who is £65 for 4!!!!!!!!) that to me is CRAZY money to pay for shoes so that isn't helping and obv i have the issue of insurance which i still haven't managed to get sorted! Horses. Must be mad to have them. This year has not been my best hope next year brings more luck.
