Hahahaa ok don't get me wrong I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVE my pony but seriously... he is waaaay to ADHD sometimes. So he Stallwalks-which is where they walk a circle in their stall, in his case in his paddock and cover, he has a perfect circle around his bed of shavings outside-, He windsucks(if I have to give him time off or lay him up for anything but it's very rare for him to do this), he WEAVES-either when he has to pee or there is a good song to sway to on the radio xD-, he CRIBS!!(but only in certain paddocks, for now he only has done it in one on a wooden post, ugh, so we stuck him back in his other paddock), he CHEWS the metal piping for his fence with his gums where the bit would go, he also rubs the paint off the pipes xD, and will SMACK HIS CHIN against the fence when he is bored!! I swear my pony drives me crazy!!! I'm sure there are more things I have just forgotten about but if I remember I'll let you know, So what does your horse do that is so different from other horses?? |

Mickey fidgets with EVERYTHING. If he sees anything interesting he'll try and nudge it with his nose or pick it up in his mouth. He ALWAYS unties himself- I don't know how! When I give him his water he picks the bucket up in his mouth and chucks it! When we're riding he turns his head to nibble at my feet! He cribbs sometimes too. MOST ununderstandable (is that a word?) thing about him is I can only put him in fields with electric fencing because other ones he decides it's really fun to kick the fence with his front leg and get his hoof caught then stand there with one foot hanging out of the fence looking at me like 'help me!' GRRRR!!! There are still countless other things he does but the biggest thing is just getting himself into trouble!
BUT, like you, I still love my pony to bits! ha don't know why ;) |

I reckon Mickey would be good at tricks :)I caught my mare taking big bites out of a fresh pile of dung one of our others had just deposited on the yard as if it were a big chocolate cake! And if that wasn't bad enough she wiped her mouth on me when I was picking her feet out and it was a real green, stinky one-euww!! Later on when I was untacking her she started to chew the wood on top of the gatepost I took it all to mean that she's lacking something in her diet. I'd actually just stopped using a high powered supplement a few weeks ago as I thought it had made her a bit wound up and she really didn't seem to want to eat it. I wonder if she was having withdrawal symptoms. Anyway went and got her the vit and min mix by global herbs this lunchtime as I always like their products. |

haha, crazy ponies! When standing on the edge of the ring, Phil will grab the tape and pull it up then let it flick back into place. She then stands there watching all the other horses shy at it. She seems to think its hilarious... Then we had another horse called vicky, she went to live with a family of girls when i got a new horse.. They would call us up with the newest vicky tale. There was one time when she got into the garage and when it came time to get out she sat on their car so she could turn around. it was lucky they loved her :) |

those are vices that sound boredom related, grenville used to windsuck/crib bite so i stuck a (very big) drain pipe over his door, without it he still does it but with it on he doesn't even try, also i give him boredom breakers so he doesn't box walk but my friends horse does and we put a large tyre with his feed in along one of the walls so he has to go around it, a treat ball, i giant horse lyx and a tounge twister and he stopped box walking, and weaving is the worst of all, it will cause arthritis in the knees a anti-weave gate should stop it but sometimes (in servere cases) horses will just weave behind the gate instead of over the door. But my horse is very very odd, he gives kisses on command, enjoys zipping up/down zips, opening doors, saying 'please' amongst other things. The smacking the chin i have never heard of though lol |

haha horses are soo funny sometimes! charlie is very nosey and will stick his nose into anything and try to lift or eat anything hes not supposed to lol he is also very fond of trying to make people uncomfortable by sticking his nose right in their faces and just hold it there with his lips right at their nose, he also likes licking people, today he started to lick my neck :S which was odd. once when he was casually licking my hand and being all cuddly he kept trying to put his teeth round my fingers, and i stupidly let him, so with ears pricked he slowly bit down...why i let him do it i dont know lol |

Saffie's sneaky. She's itchy (bad fly year round here) so understandable she wants to rub, but she waits until you can't see her to rub up her stable door lol. I was half in the tack room and she started rubbing, I stepped back and she looked at me as if to say 'what? I ain't doing nothing!' Haha.
My Aunts old Appy used to grab the electric tape in his teeth, get a jolt but not let go, then go back and do it all over again haha. Now THAT is weird lol! |

When I start loading Chazbo my travelling companions put the kettle on and settle in. They just stop short of getting recliners out and selling tickets. He is not scared. Planted his feet the other day and proper fell asleep on the ramp!! When we woke him he treated us to 2 bucks (on my newly repaired ramp) and a rear. He basically just wont go in until he had his fun and then simply saunters in when he had his fun. He also always tries to eat my partners roll ups and when we walk past people with food he goes straight over to check out what's on offer. Sometimes scaring the beegeezus out of innocent passers by. |
