Follow the ling to the web article below; it's really good and says it all much better than I could have done. Required reading I think for anyone interested in this sort of thing.

I read The Horse Boy a few months ago - I'm still thinking about it now. It's the story of an incredible, fascinating and moving journey.... johnthecob put this video up on the site yesterday, of the trailer to the film which has been made. It is also a good taster for the book (!) which is a must surely before a viewing of the film?

When I read this book, I couldn't put it down. It then leant it to a friend who also couldn't put it down. It is a brilliant story and all the more poinient as it is true. I help with Riding for the Disabled (RDA) and have helped some autistic children when riding, but none seem to have the connection that Rowan had. It is great that these noble creatures can provide a form of therapy for these children. I would thoroughly recommend the book to horsey and non-horsey people alike.

I was just about to recommend this book. The family have also made this into a feature length movie. The book is definately a must before watching the movie. Here is a little more info on the movie if you are interested... Emx
