well my friend was driving down a road and spotted some gypsy horses and decided she loved one of them (he's called syd) so much she bought him! He came home with her today and after having 0 contact with other horses in years grenville was his first buddy and they totally hit it off, he is a really flashy mover - especially his trot. He is pretty sporty and his legs are probably no thicker (bone wise) than chunky boy grenville lol i thought i would share some pics it was a really nice thing to see :) here is a pic, it was his first time ever on grass without being tied up, something tells me he liked it! Felt sorry for him though because he doesn't know how to roll, he just goes down on his front legs and gets back up because he won't have been able to roll tied up, he'll soon get the hang of it! :D

Look forward to hearing about his progress. My friend had a coloured rescued from the gypsies and he was the most fantastic horse :) I bet gypsies don't have horse passports, or do they? |

suprisingly this one has a passport lol, well he didn't but he got one for him when he decided to sell him. We have another ex gypsy horse on the yard, teddy and he is great for hacking and stuff, he is bright bay and 14.3hh, he is spooky though and never used to like jumping show jumps, prefered logs and stuff but he got there in the end but he doesn't have a passport, we don't even know his real age, all we know is he is 15+ which is annoying and playing guess the breed is funny because he isn't a classic gypsy cob and has little feather but we think he has some sort of trotter in him but we honestly just don't know :P i think it says on syds passport his breed but i haven't asked about him propperly yet :) |
