hi there, my 6 year old tb mare, Anara for some reason when i try to jump her in the field at the back of the farm as we have no arena goes mental, she rears, bucks, spins, backs up and all sorts, she even kicks the ground, the only thing she doesnt do is tank off (strange for a tb!) I know you may say well she's in a field but she isn't like this anywhere else and she never used to do it, just yesterday i took her to an arena for a jumping lesson where she had never been before and there were other horses around who she didn't know but she was fine, she was even pretty calm through all of it! Please help me and my horse figure out what the problem is, as it's beginning to send me mental, i have had back/teeth/saddle checked etc. and because she doesnt do it anywhere else, even on hacks or in another field which we now can't use, i don't know what to do, HELP! Thank you xx |

Have you had any bad experiences with her in a field before? Not necerccarily in that field but any because she may be scared of it happening again? |

Its strange as its just that one field... is there actually any way that field is different to any other? Even if its something minor because I suppose horses can be very sensitive x |

LaurenAndCaprice could be right she might sense something, worth asking what that might be. Do you have any big pylons or anything? Or is it the ground she doesn't like?-if it's clay and hard it might jar her up and she's objecting to that. |
