The fashion fixated side of me loves the glamour of girls in the circus, not just under canvas but now performing liberty acts and trick riding at country fairs and horse shows around the country. What a fantastic way to earn a living-you get to work with horses, and dress up and show off in gorgeous clothes! If you've ever ridden your horse in a glamorous outfit, I'd love to hear about it and see the photos if you have any. And tell me about any good equestrian circus acts that you've seen. Of course helmets aren't part of a glamour girls wardrobe so I'm sure some of you will have something to say about that! http://theclotheshorse-trotontv.blogspot.com/2011/05/roll-up-roll-up-show-girls-are-in-town.html |

I've been going to giffords circus since i was little- it's really really good and the stuff they do wit horses is pretty cool. I definately recomend it to anyone!
I have never taken part in fancy dress class at a show... But I love photography and I may come up with a good equine circus/glamour photoshot. I'll keep you posted :) XX N |

i have ridden in pretty much everything in my wardrobe, from jods and boots to skirts and flip-flops though almost always with my helmet on though must admit sometimes when i'm not planning on riding i sometimes forget but my domi is so sweet and gentle. i think the most memorable time was my 21st birthday when i was dressed for going out, (knee-high boots with 5 inch high heels, short dress and good hair and make-up) i got to the yard intending to put him in his stable for the night and go out straight after but some of the other girls were in the school and had some jumps set up and talked me into joining them. so i went to jump a little cross (maybe 1ft)but domi wanted to jump the 4ft wing so i went over the cross and he went over the wing and i went over his head too and by some total miracle landed on my feet in front of him with reigns still in hand, hair and make-up still perfect too :) my boy looks after me even when he's being silly!! sometimes when i have finished giving a lesson but my jods are in the wash i wear a skirt to yard and still have a little sit on at end of lesson, a little canter up the hill or something fun for him. |

same JessandGrenVille123- i think they are cruel, i dont ever go up to the yard in glamour , i just ride in casual stuff, once last summer i rode her in her dress just because i hadnt planned to ride and it was too hot for anything else and deciding i wanted to wizz around the school but thats as far as it gets for glamour! xx |
