Try approaching your jump with a definite approach, take note of what position your heels are in..pin them down before your jump.(it is said that if your heels are always pushed down it'l be very difficult to be knocked off a borse) try work on your heels and remember to lean a little back on landing over the jump but not too far back! : ) |

you need to anchor your weight through your feet and stirrups.. keep pushing them down and forwards and try stand up on landing.. Are you stirrups short enough? |

You may be leaning forward too much on take off, try not to force the lean forward and just move with the horse, as the horse takes off go forward with him don't try to stand out of your stirrups too much just lean with the horse, when the horse levels out over the jump in mid air you can start to sit back up then you should already be back in the saddle before you land if this makes sense lol oh and try to keep your leg as still as possible even though your body is moving cos' if you leg swings back this could be why you are losing your stirrup on landing :D good luck |
