Get something to carry with you, if she is running full on at you to run you over carry a whip. But usually, with my boy, when he's feeling hot all I do is whistle and he comes trotting over, have you tried that? Whistle or somehow announce your presence to her BEFORE you go in, so she heads over by herself and you are out of harms way. Your safety comes before your horses ALWAYS END OF STORY. Because the second that horse injures you its a liability, and if it hospitalizes you it will more than likely be put down, not that I agree thats how it should go but thats how it usually does, so your safety above the horses is really establishing the horse's safety, if that makes sense? |
