Hola, Soooooo... It is starting to look somthing like spring, and that means jumping again(at least for me haha)! However, I haven't jumped regularly (aside form the occasional popping over a crossrail) let alone anything bigger than about 2 ft 3 in around 3 months?? My horse and I are still green (I have had him for almost a year, and we have both been jumping for about 9 months). I am planning on starting out tiny and progressing back up to our normal height (2ft 6-3ft-ish). BUTTTTT, my horsey finds it quite amusing to refuse! Which isn't that terrible when jumping speck fences, but once it gets bigger this tends to be a problem. With regular jumping work, he is fine, but coming off work, I am expecting some of his silly lets-refuse-this-crossrail-because-it-will-be-more-fun-at-least-for-me type behavior. Soooo, do any of you have tips to prevent refusals?? Hah, I don't have a ton of confidence, but oh well, I can always pretend that I do....so yeah, any advice/tips/exercises are appreciated! *I attached a vid so you can see our way of going and such. :) thanksss. :)

Its mainly a determination thing, i think on my horse that can stop. there is no other way to get to the other side but over the top.
