My (usually) left brain introvert 4 year old (for non- Parelli people, that's broadly: confident, & thinking about things rather than running off) today was totally the opposite, a right brain extrovert (that's: wanting to run away, fearful, it includes being over-reactive, fractious, hyperalert, impulsive, high-headed, & tending to rear). Quite unmanageable, impossible to get her attention, felt really unsafe! See what tomorrow brings, but it's quite disconcerting... suddenly to be faced with a horse I don't know at all !! |

My horse has horsey skitofrenia (don't know how to spell it) one day he is chilled, friendlt and i can do anything, the next he is on his toes, spooky beyond sense and totally unsocial. I guess like people they just have their days. |

The days are getting longer, Spring is on the way, agree with Part Arab, could she be getting a bit mareish? Are there any stallions in the vicinity?! Also, I put a post in the horse behaviour group about moulting, as I am sure this can make some horses irritable, is she really itchy and uncomfortable? Hopefully she will return to her usual self soon enough! |
