Alright so I'm always extremely nervous for horse shows and I get so nervous that I get stiff and can't ride well. I don't know how to calm myself down enough to have a good ride. Any advice?? |

What do you get nervous about? Is it falling or that you might make a mistake? But i would say, try to get into the mindset that your just out to have fun. Forget its a comp… |

i usually do what kibby does...remind myself that its fun :) i dont get nerves anymore unless its higher than usual. another thing i do is not to think about the actual competition until the last minute...put your organised head on and keep yourself busy, then theres no time for the nerves :) worst case scenario, u fall off...but it will give you laughs on down the line, especially if you get it on video :P |

Try some rescue remedy :) or other remedies that can calm nerves. for relaxing i normally tell myself i am confident and i am riding the best horse in the world and we can do anything. this normally helps :) |
