Hi everyone! I am getting back into horse back riding after 30 some years. I am having a hard time finding a place where I am comfortable and it's very hard to even get someone to call me back- Once I get somewhere it seems that "customer service" goes out the window. They throw me on a horse and I ride around for a half hour and that's it. I am interested in leasing. I want to continue my lesson but then want to "practice" or just enjoy a ride once or twice a week. I also find that everyone does things differently and no matter how I do something it's the wrong way. I am getting a little discouraged and maybe I am just not making myself clear? Is this a common problem and does anyone have any suggestions for me?

i have only been to one stable so i dont really have your trouble but yes, many stables are so worried about health and satfy that they dont actually end up teaching you all that much! by the look of the photo your some where in europe? im not sure about over there but try at the pony clubs, or adult riders groups as well as shows and comps. hang around the horsey peopple and try find some one that has a few horses and does lessons. the 'back yard' people will oftern be a lot nicer more willing to help. teenagers are oftern a help as they know about everythign!!! hope this helped even in the slightest:)
