There is this horse out in my field that the owner of the farm gave me. she is around 4 at the youngest. i was petting her forehead when i felt this huge crease type of thing.... it's hard to explain. it's like it round bumps one her head in front of each ear. but it has a triangular shape to it, they are soft like the rest over her. she is a QH..... in the picture below you can kind of see it. but it is bigger when you are up close. i have never seen anything like this. i don't know if it's a problem or something that is just natural...

These are always good muscles to take note of. If one is bigger than the other it's an indicator that the horse has problems with the teeth/poll. And of course take note if the muscles are tense and the horse doesn't like being touched there.

One of the horses I ride has this too, he is a Selle Francais, I think they are equal but I will double check!

Yes lot's of rubbing or gently massaging if she enjoys it. She'll find it really relaxing and it will release any tension if she has any. Has she had her teeth done recently or is she due?
