You could use non electric clippers or if you really don't want to clip get a mud scraper for when the fluff starts falling out. Last winter grenville was out of work so he was like a wooly mamoth and the mud scraper got it off in days without covering me in it and the fur falls off the scraper so you don't have to stop and clean it so it is super quick too :)

Always get a vets opinion before jumping to conclusions..
