Hi there is a really easy and so so cheap! way to learn all parelli for £3.00! yes its true! there is a book called 101 horsemanship games available of e-bay and amazon for £3.00. the writer an english woman who studied with Pat Parelli and now does it all herself! listed is everysingle thing Parelli does and how do it and a trouble shooting guide for exersizes to help specific problems fantastic book! and written in an easy explanitory and informative way far far easier to under stand than pats rambling!! u can learn the whole programme right through to riding with finesse no bridle etc if you want to! there you go. and you can buy cheap versions of the ropes and carrot sticks and sure some are better than other but thats the gamble. I prefer my carrot stick to the proper parelli one cus mine a bit lighter bonus for me. Hope that helps cus other wise its an exspensive programme to follow! I know cus I followed parelli up to level 3 for over 2 years ive since gone back to mainly riding so called traditional am im happier that way wiv me bits etc! thowever i choose to do my own thing as i go along but there are things i will always use like parelli trailer loading so far the safest nicest way to load a horse iv found and teaching respect and manners i will use my halter and occasionly i run through the games for fun or go to fun days for a bit of variety and it doesnt harm the horse. I also used it to re awaken a very lazy use by learning impulsion and patterns a great way to school love my clover leafs! (pattern to ride around barrels, based form western horseman ship!)there you go u dont need to buy a membership over a hundred piunds or a starter kit with halter and stick over another hundred pounds! and the pad more loads of pounds any old bareback pad will do! sure the parewlli are great spreading the word but it is a money machine learn the system but you dont have to spend the dollors!!! have fun with your horse whichever way you choose no system is wrong as long as you and more importantly your horse is HAPPY!! and you have fun together! x :) me n pony girl doin havin a breather from poin a spot of parelli on the beach below.

Thanks for posting this. On your reccomendation Ive ordered a copy and then ordered some other random offers!! The problem with online shopping it's too easy!! But it had really good reviews online too. I have been inspired to learn more about Parelli from other members on here who are interested in it. Only problem I have been put off by Pat and Linda! So did not like the idea of paying to buy their products when I wasnt too convinced on their methods.

Yeah I have to agree with you Em. It's a shame because a lot of their ideas are good but to be honest I am keener on some trainers who have studied their methods and are now doing their own thing. Have you seen the inspiring video that Kibby put in this group about a girl loading the parelli way? Another series of books worth looking at is the Think Like a Pony series by author and teacher Lynn Henry. Here's a link to her website.
