Heather Moffett does work shops on a machine horse (see video). Not sure if anyone has heard or seen such a thing- at first I thought it was weird but now it makes me want to give it ago =P has anyone had a workshop with this lady? or with a simular simulation machine? I thought this was quite insightful esp. the rise trot! She's also got a walk and canter one.

I have been on one of these simulators and they are good if you are learning or want to improve your posision but the trot was sooo smooth compared to grenvilles bouncey trot i nearly flew off when i got back on grenville lol. The gaits on the simulator just didn't feel like they should they were too smooth lol

i have never been on one of them but i dnt think its anywhere near as good as the real thing, how can people learn to stay on in sticky situations? or learn how to control the horse and the pace of the horse?

baahaha i like the way you think kibby XD yeh I agree Tori, I think it's good for the horses of not getting bumped on when learning to trot but then I'm wondering whether people would get scared from the real thing because it's not the same.... ahh yeh that's what i thought Jess as well! Def. looks too smooth to be compared to my horse XD would you say it's any better as to have lessons on a horse?

I don't think they are designed to teach you about the sticky situations. more just to teach you the basic notion of the gaits. i don't think its a bad idea.. would have saved my pony the abuse of me bouncing round on his back as a kid.. haha

lol i think thers nothing as good as the real thing! i taught my friend to get the rising trot on charlie (who is incredibly sensitive). if you instruct well and they do what you say the horse shouldnt be affected. i have to say tho, charlie was very patient with her babbling spanish at him, shes a nutter haha
