Have him shecked out for strangles. In young horses it can be pretty extreme where the vet may need to lance swollen, puss-filled areas around the head and neck...with some help with antibiotics (if neccesary) the horse usually recovers eventually with rest and pampering to be immune from future break outs since this is a virus and very spreadable...there fore isolate your sick horse and don't share water.
Hopefully it is something harmless though...won't hurt to get it checked though. |
