Attend if you can - Monty Robert's UK February tour

Would you like to know why some people never get the best from their horses? Do you ever wonder why some people always seem to struggle with their horses? Whether it's picking up feet, standing still to mount, passing spooky objects, anything and everything they want to do is like a never ending battle?

And why some people do? These are the lucky people whose horses are just so agreeable. If they were human you'd like them as work colleagues, or a best friend â in fact, be honest, - you'd like to find one like that to marry!

Monty Roberts and his chief instructor Kelly Marks specialise in showing how quickly understanding the horse's point of view and making changes in ourselves can bring about seemingly 'miraculous' changes in the horse's behaviour.

They are going to be touring the UK in February to demonstrate their techniques and are visiting five separate locations. At each one they will be dealing with some of the trickiest equines in the locality and even more importantly showing how you can make the changes too!

Having attended one of these sessions over a decade ago I can vouch for how utterly magical these events can be! What my attendance of this event did was to provide me with a framework for understanding the horse from its own perspective. It was like being given a new pair of glasses and the whole world looked a lot brighter and sharper. Suddenly I "got" the horse.

It was especially interesting seeing the clear and demonstrable impact on the horse's behavior from seemingly minute changes in human behaviour. The horse was still running around in a circle but was responding to rather than ignoring the "human bit." It seemed like magic until I appreciated that the "minute" changes in human behaviour meant BIG changes from the horse's perspective.

I wasn't the only one in a state of "shock and awe" from the demonstration. I seem to recall a lot of others in the audience being in a similar state over what we had witnessed â not least the owners of the "problem" horses who frequently seemed most often reduced to tears of joy and relief!

IMHO anybody who has anything to do with horses should experience this.
