we had tammys teeth done by our local vet last year when the dentist came back down to my new yard to do some phorse we booked tammy in to. the dentist sed there was a lot more than 1 yr growth on there and as she was 7 she needed her teeth done every 6 months not every yr which the vet didnt mention. he recond that the vet just shoved a rasp a couple of times up and down each row and got the money. im not saying all vets are lyk this just we are definatley going to use the equine dentist insraed of vet in the future.
