i think you just need to be presentable i.e clean clothes, preferably ironed XD a simple white button up shirt with black pants or even cream joddies with riding boots will do and maybe a hat with a bow if you wish XD and maybe a black jacket/ blazer thingy which you can get at an op shop if you don't have one for a good price. Good luck =)

Hi there, firstly good luck with your competitions! Don't forget that it's meant to be fun and don't panic! I've shown a lot of horses/ponies inhand and lead rein classes as well as ridden coloureds and hunters. For me with inhand classes, I tend to choose trousers (easier to run in than a skirt) that are an opposite colour to my horse's legs ie if my horse is dark I wear cream and vice versa. A tweed jacket is nice but not a necessity unless showing at county etc where a jacket or waistcoat is preferential. A simple smart shirt tucket in with a coloured tie that complements the colour of your pony. The thing that i HATE to see in the show ring are those Dubarry or Dublin long stable boots! They look horrid. Jodphur or paddock boots are suffice. It is not essential that you wear a hat but does look smart, I use a Patey or Beagler hat. For lead rein classes, if its a small show just wear as above but if it's county people wear a skirt suit, normally navy or tweed? with a matching wide brimmed hat, if this is what your after, have a check in the local charity shops! You could grab yourself an absolute bargain!! Hope this helps?
