The kids have given me the flu, I am too sick to even help with the shearing today, I have been sent back to bed...secretly I am on here though...shhhhh don't tell hubby. Sick of winter already, the horses are sick of winter already too...we have had more rain than snow, would much rather have the snow !!!!!! We went tinto winter on a drought, but changed to flooding in 24 hours !!!!!! Just crazy weather at the moment...very,very cold though... Horses doing well, I have clipped Miss Polly so she don't get too hot and sweaty when we out mustering. All the cattle have gone up north to be finished off so we only have the sheep at the moment, they are a pain to muster cos they like to hide anywhere that they can find, so after the main muster I have to go back out and muster up all the ones that hid !!!!

I had a quick stalk on your profile and read that you're from New Zealand so I'd like to say G'day country neighbour! I hope you feel better soon! It's finally kicked into winter weather in Western Australia too... so much rain in just one day!!! They were saying it was gonna be a dry June as we had no sign of winter weather.... until the morning when it started bucketing!!

not a chance.. it'll be sweltering 40+ and me sam and phil will be in the dam or the creek cooling off, or going on one of my friends and i's camping trips with the horses and camping under the stars.. I am complaining about the cold, and its been freezing at night time.. but the days have been lovely i must say 19 today, would prefer it in the high 20s or low 30s.. but still my white legs got to see a little sunlight..

Haha our winters are like -5 celcius for average day :P and i wish we could go in the water but grenville hates water and hates getting wet, he will do it if i tell him to but he doesn't like it... Out summers are only like from say 16-25 celcius and to me that is boiling haha i prefer spring when it is about 10 and the ground is soft and you see all the rabbits and the baby animals about :)

i love the heat when on a holiday...but heat and horse for me dont mix, i can never get any proper work done...i hosed myself and charlie down today. we spent most of the day chilling in the sun. i had to ride romany for an hours schooling in the paddock (long story) and it near killed me, so i just played with charlie over some low jumps and chilled at the river :D i do prefer summer alot more to winter (even with the flies!) especially winter past, the snow was rediculous!

Hope you are feeling bit better today Polkadotpolly. Yea it is really hard to imagine it's winter across the globe when we have been having a bit of a heat wave over here. Have to say I totally prefer the summer season. Although Ryan loves to bathe out in the sun, so he doesn't appreciate being brought in to do some work!! I dont miss having my fingers and toes freezing cold and heaving rugs around all the time!
