I prefer the Winter, as odd as that sounds! :) I'm so lazy in the summer and riding can get so uncomfortable, and with riding in the winter you can get indoors take off your million layers and feel like you deserve loads of warm food :P

Worst thing, even worse than cold/rain is the short daylight in winter. If you work/ have other commitments it just don't fit in, all you want to do with your horse!

Starting to feel better now, hubby got it too !!!! Finished the shearing thank goodness and done the first part of the scanning too, gets done again in a month. I like all seasons but it always seems to me we get ten times busier in the winter with feeding out and stuff, you would think winter is the quiet time...not so. I love it though, getting cold then coming inside in front of the fire and then having to go back out to feed out again !!!! We don't usually have so much rain though, our part of the country is a rather dry one, but this winter we are definitely getting a lot more, we have huge puddles( small lakes) on parts of the farm that has never seen water before. We put in a few dams before it flooded and they all got blown out along with a few fences too !!!! Thats high country farming for you though, you just never know whats gonna happen next !!!
