Well after much consideration she is booked in on the 15th June to have the eye removed. I know it maybe considered extreme but she has been in serious pain for over 2 months now. If I kept her eye in whichever route I go down it is still costing more money. I have spent £1300 on vet bills then it will be a further £700 for removal and I think £2000 on a 19yr old mare that was going to be put down by her owner has to be enough. Also knowing she won't suffer anymore or have to spend time stuck in dark stables and can go out and enjoy herself as normal with the others has to be worth it. Thank you all for your kind comments and help. |

How is she going? I knew a gelding who had his eye removed for this reason. He still had eyelashes and everything. And he was a good XC horse, even with only one eye. |
