Yea I know it is an accident waiting to happen at the start of training but this was almost 8 months down the track and had been mounting myself for a long time.. i just let it slip that it was the first show in a month or two and he had lost his mind.. |

My TB's do tend to get a little excited at shows, i just drop the reins hold on the buckle end and pat them, if they move forward I just pull on the neck strap and stand them back out the way, when they fidget a bit more walk them in a circle and start all over again. It takes a while but if you do nothing, they realise it's pointless. In another way it's really nice that he is keen and want to get on and do something, and can't work out why he can't do it NOW!!!! They do eventually snap out of it, it's just a pain until they do. My youngster didn't take long about 3 events, now he takes the chance to have a doze while we are waiting. |
