Hi,
I have just clicked on to my horse is n foal sounds daft i know - but i went down on sunday morning and she just must have put 20 stone on over night, i checked her teats and they have changed and are alot fuller and the teats are bigger and hung down. All the signs of a foal to be born soon well would say in the next few weeks.
But the problem is my minnie will get were water cant, she just breaks and goes through all types of fencing. I have the white tape fence and this has done the job.She is not scared of it and touches it all the time then backs off for a bit. So i cant turn it off as i have tried this and she just got a post in her tail and dragged it all over place.
I do have posts and 3 strip barb wire fencing but have the electric fence making the field in to two.
Will this be ok to still use the electric fence when the foal is born ? shall i show and touch the foal to learn it ? or do i just take a chance she dont go walk about with a foal at her side ?
please help and sorry for the big long story
thanks nicole |

Hi, I don't know much about foals but do keep my pony at a stud and there must be at least 12 foals here at the moment and they all get turned out with their mums in paddocks with electric fences so I am sure it must be ok x |
