If you try riding her for a good hour or so to get the energy off her and then take her to an open space, if she bucks ride her foreward, take her for a good trot around the field and shel soon calm down. try keeping close to the fence too so its not completely open. how long hav you had her?

We usually ride in the field with about 5 or 6 of us, that way you will hav a group of other horses to turn to if you feel out of control.

If you feel you r struggling to stay on...do more work in the inclosed space, or if you do fall off get back on and end on a good note. I think the only way you will overcome this is perseverance, your goin 2 hav to sit to the bucks. If i lived near you i would try and help myself but can i suggest doing lots of riding without stirups to deepen your seat. if she bucks, pull her head up, then she wont b able to buck as high. the worst that can happen is you fall off, but every 1 falls off and it is a good thing because you can learn from it. i lost count of my falls at around 50 lol (i got a cheeky pony when i was 10 and i was rubbish but she taught me 2 ride lol) my friends new horse bucks evry now and then and i say to her, treat it as a learning curve, i firmly stand by the fact that you become a better rider when you are faced with problems like bucking and by falling off. If you feel you would be unable to do this you could see if there is someone more experienced that could get on her and sit to her bucks. or iv just had the thought that you could try lunging her in the field. :)

I ride and lead all the time in all 3 paces, I teach my young horses not to bother about traffic this way, and I ride and lead in the dark in the winter to exercise two at once. My old horse has been doing it for years and is so good, he doesn't care when they start bucking and messing about, and he stays with them to stop them we ride them off, along with my voice commands. I think it is something that is not used by many now, but round my way they are used to me lobbing along the field riding one and the other canter upsides, but equally they will walk on a field or past jumps without bothering. What is she like leading in hand? If you can't ride and lead walk he in hand on the grass as boring as it may seem just walk her round and round and round the field in hand for as long as it takes, and then progress to someone leading with a rider on, as you need to break this habit.
