Hi Natasha, I'm sorry to hear about your fall. No doubt you've had the horse and saddle checked over to make sure there's no physical cause for your horse's bucking. Of course, you need to recover physically but you can use your convalescence time to get your fears under control. First of all, as I advised the first poster, review what went wrong and how you contributed to it so that you can avoid doing it again. For instance, I had a fall from my horse a few months ago and when I reviewed what had happened I knew that I had lightened my seat in the saddle and had been dithering mentally, which my horse picked up on. Once you know what you want to change about how you rode, stop thinking about the fall. Be ruthless. You can shoot, explode, burn crush your thoughts - whatever and however you like - just as long as you destroy them and don't think them. Then replace the destroyed thought with something positive. Of course, you have to practise this but if you vaporise your negative thought each second it appears, it will soon become less powerful and less frequent. Don't think about the accident, don't talk about it, don't blog or post about it. The more you think about something, the more immediate and powerful it is. Remember that the past and the future are just thoughts - that's all. Have a look through other posts to see other techniques like calming breathing which will help you to stay calm. When you next ride, imagine that you're full of something really heavy that's flowing down through your body and out through your heels. Imagine that you're making a bottom print in wet sand. This will make you more grounded and more stable in the saddle. Bach Flower Remedies aren't herbal. They are energy medicine, like homoeopathy, acupuncture, healing and other complementary therapies. There are 38 remedies, each one linked to a negative emotional state. Star of Bethlehem, Cherry Plum and Mimulus would help you, and there may be others depending on your emotional state. They certainly do work and can also be used for animals too :) Hope this helps and you're feeling better soon, Kind regards, Caroline
