on one of our encounters with the black lady the horses were freaked by her. me and my friend wer hacking when we saw her and we followed her (we thought it was just an oddly dressed woman) she went down past our sand school, stopped and watched for a bit, then went into the trees and disappeared. we went down asking our friends who wer riding in the sand school if they saw her, they hadnt seen her but apparantly the horses wer spooking and wouldnt go near that end of the school. thats when we realised she wasnt jus a woman...creepy stuff |

That is really freaky!
I remember when I was out riding one day I went through this copse as there were some logs in there that you could pop over. The horse I was riding out went over a log then spooked and charged out of the copse. Felt like a right plum as I had let go of the reins somehow and he was too spooked to come near the woods so I had to go right over to him across the field. Anyway, me being a very curious person and not one to let a horse have the upper hand! I decided to go back in there the next day, this time in the clearing there was a wedding dress hanging from a branch in full view, that was enough for me to think no way lets go it looked really spooky. It hadnt been hanging the day before or even in there and there wasnt any other signs of people as in litter etc. The copse was off a track out of the way and I had never seen anyone near it, infact not sure if I was meant to be there. But decided logs or no logs I wasnt going in there again!! |

I also remember the only time I have seen a ghost I was out walking my dog and she was still quite young and excitable, we saw a lady in an old victorian dress on a small footbridge looking out over the mill pond. I wasnt scared at all but my dog saw her too and pulled on the lead (she always used to want to bound up to people when young). I looked down at my dog to check her back then when I looked up the lady had vanished. Both me and my dog had seen her. Years later I was walking over the bridge and a friend I was with said they had heard from their grandparents that used to live nearby that a young lady had thrown herself from the bridge into the mill pond and drowned a few hundred years back. I couldnt believe it, I then told them what I had seen years earlier! |

creepy i could write loads of stories on the spooky things in redhall. i remember we used to hav a ghost walk around redhall and have spooky things set up. my dad ran our church youth club at the time and as a trip he took them to redhall for the ghost walk around haloween. my uncle Danny took these guy around the pitch black estate telling them ghost stories and had a few of the girls do spooky stuff (my cousin was dressed in rags and was on a very light grey pony, and she would come bursting out of the barn as they passed) it was brilliant. all these so called "hard" lads wer terrified. Although this was set up, alot of real spooky stuff happens, danny lives with it too as his little cottage is haunted. |
