I inherited a horse from my friend and don't know him very well yet, but I am worried about him having a vicious streak. He goes for mares and tries to bite them, he looks quite nasty.
Why is he doing this? |

He may still have hormones in the system if he is recently gelded. I presume the gelding was successful and hasn't left tissue behind that produces testosterone. Other than that it could be non-sexual behaviour and could be nervous behaviour. He might change once he settles in.
You might like to try calming herbs or homeopathy to see if you can modulate his behaviour.
Best wishes
