There is a new craze hitting the nation...trash the dress. This started in the states and is now big news in the UK. This is where women have a photo shoot in their wedding dress post wedding before it gets dry cleaned and put in the loft..never to be seen again. As an equine portrait photographer I have quite a bit of interest from women asking us (centaur photographic) to photograph them in their wedding dress with their horse. So much so we have just launched "you should've married your horse". I would love to hear from you all, could this take off. Would you have your photo taken with your horse in your wedding dress?

Ha ha, I think that's a great idea and love the pic-it's not easy to get a good shot like that! I wanted to have my horse actually at my wedding but it didn't work out. We did have hounds there though and two jack russells were my bridesmaids. Did anyone else have their horse come to their wedding?

I have not had a horse at one of my weddings. I do think that it would be great to have a wedding at Mideviel Times but outdoors. The Tb River was in a wedding a few years ago. The bride always wanted to ride a horse into her wedding and so we and River made the dream come true. Of course the wedding was out side at an old train station park in the Down town Gainsville Ga. There is a longer story of course , but the really funny thing about it all is the groom had no idea his bride would be arriving on River a horse.

Check out my photo aulbom BRIDE ON HORSEBACK. I will not post a photo of the bride that rode River into her wedding because I do not have her ok. But picture this in your mind. The bride was sitting on River and there were three ment under her wedding dress to get it to lay beautifully, me and two brothers. One of the brothers lead River and the other took pictures. You could hear all the surprise of the entire wedding party when they saw BRIDEON HORSEBACK.

Looking at Lucy Gale's attached pic to her comments...I can't think of anything more gorgeous than having your wedding pics include a few with your horse (unsaddled of course).

I had horses at my wedding, went to church in a horse and carriage and as my husband is in a mounted regiment we also had out-riders. The big problem of the day was the rather large bouquet, having photos taken before I left for the church, posing with the out-riders the horses started to eat my bouquet. Then arrived at the church more pictures and the carriage horse also had a quick grab at the bouquet by the time we finished and got back to the Mess for the reception and finished the photographs I was left with about 6 flowers and no foliage!

Hi, my horse and cow were my bridesmaids at our wedding 5 years ago (it managed to make the papers) and they were impeccably behaved throughout the whole service. It was a wonderful day and having them there made it all the more special...
