to try and carry this on a bit how many of you put your horse before anything else? and how many: wake up in the middle of the night hoping shes/hes not too cold/wet, has enough hay/water and not worried about being in/out? and how many rely on your horse/pony to get you out of bed in the mornings and keep yourself going?x

It is the cause of many a domestic that I pop out last thing to check that everybody is OK, got water and some hay and ostenisbly skip out the stables to save time mucking out in the morning. What he doesn't realise is the years I had long distances to travel to go see my horses, so the novelty of having them at home is never going to wear off! Sometimes I look out the back door at the rain lashing down, the trees bending and swaying in the wind and think, why am I doing this? Immediately swatted by the more important thought "because I want to"

yes. i am currently at uni, so I only get to see Pepper every few weeks.. im finally in my last year and cant wait to be able to move her down here so i can see her everyday. I am a crazy worrier, so paranoid about her being too cold or too hot or anything, especially now she has arthritis! going crazy. I worry about her when im 10 mins away from her, imagine what Ive been like for the past 3 years being 2 hours away from her! even my boyfriend says it goes : Pepper, then chocolate, then him. hehe. :)

I am so lucky to be married to someone who is as horse mad as I am ,we are moving to Wales & our prime consideration is for good land dry stables ,manege outbuildings , on my want list is a tack & feed room, 4 stables preferably integral & also viewable form the house which has to have a view of the fields so we can see our what boys are getting up to Oh & yes I would quite like an aga in the kitchen but Im not too bothered about the house ....we need good outriding , quiet lanes, secluded drive, shelter in the fields the Welsh estate agents think we are mad .

Always!! So much so that becuase no one is going to muck her out or turn her out on Xmas day, I have refused to budge from my house, so the whole family is coming to me :D. Next year though I should have transport so all I have to do is find somewhere I can take her for the week and I can go down to my Mum's and hack my pony round all the places I went as a child...some 30 years ago..wonder if all the bridleways are still open.

I'm lucky I'm single so no-one to answer to about them. Even worse it's my friends horses I worry about, feed, muck out etc. I panic most when it's windy in case the roof comes off so I'm there at the oddest times of the day and night. Roll on Xmas day I get to ride so it's like I have my own horses I love it and they will always come first (even before Santa lol).

Yup he certainly does come first, I remember last xmas day all I wanted to do was go and ride him haha it was such a lovely crisp morning:) I always organise what I'm doing around my pony, friends and family think i'm nuts! Since I bought him myself, it is even worse I think because he is actually MINE i worked hard to get him and my names on his passport and I work hard to keep him. Anyway what other crazy people would go and muck out in blizzards just to make sure my boy has a nice cosy bed at night? I sometimes wonder if I'm totally insane!
