Hi everyone! I dont own a pony but my favourite ones to ride at work are definitely the little ones :) They have no fear & arent afraid to tell me what they think - Love it!

Hi, I drive ponies and compete in horse driving trials. They are great fun, fast, think for themselves and very keen: never boring! Drivers split into horse or pony classes and I don't find many going between the sizes. Pony drivers have more fun? And can fit more into a 7.5 ton lorry! Our carriages are smaller and lighter than a horse carriage and my pony hs been the fastest or in teh top four fastest at national competitions against all-comers. Ponies forever!

I don't have my pony anymore. It ripped my heart out to sell him but I went through the divorce from hell. The scumbag doesn't pay child support and I had to provide for my daughter. I miss him so much and it hurts beyond belief when I think of him. He was 5 when I got him. WILDTHING!!! The people who had him rode whim with a spade bit and a tiedown. He broke my nose the first time I rode him without the tie down. After the right bit and about three months of schooling we lost the tiedown and entered the showring. Our first show the judge came up to me between classes and asked if he was for sale! Wow. I am crying now so I'll stop talking about him.

Hi Major's Mum :-) it's the old growing up/growing old thing isn't it ;-) We might have to grow up but we don't have to grow out of riding ponies ;-)

hi! i am 50 yrs old and have a dales and a dartmoor. i think i am too old now to grow out of ponies! x x

We dont have enough space for anyone to be out 24/7. sadly my pony has Cushings so has to have restricted grazing. Shes also starined a tendon so shes not had the chance to play inthe snow. The horses enjoyed it for about an hour, then wanted to come in!

I agree Tweek, & it gives a heck of a buzz when "you +pony" against the world do something clever, like jump a gate/hedge out hunting with grand hunters refusing, or do well in a dressage test or leave the showjumps standing! and also the quiet things like be brilliant with kids or RDA clients. Or just BE themselves with all their naughty cheeky quirks & free-thinking ideas

Hellooooooooooo there's got to be a few of us about I think :-) I have to say, I generally call any horse/pony I think anything of a "pony" as a term of endearment, they only get called horses when they're being a lump and not doing what they're told! There's something more exciting at times riding a pony, much more like it's you pair v's the world, almost like you're in cahoots together :-)
