poynton is a good show because its has the stunt show called the rocking horsies

Roll on the Suffolk Show. The Suffolk horses are the star turn. I can't wait and will look out for your turn out.

Will be at Suffolk :-) can't wait. We usually get our entry fees back but it doesn't cover the costs of running the lorry, if we only showed in hand we usually wouldn't cover our entry fees. Its certainly a hobby not a business.

Hi, cant afford to do too many this year (prize money used to pay for day out now if you win you just about get your entry fee back-think its different for heavies) so doing Herts and Suffolk so far - anyone else going to these?

Dinky, I love the photos and good for you travelling such a long way for it....we only have to wait till May! What classes do you enter when you come?

I love Hadleigh Show, although i never get anywhere other than the lorry and the ring, its got such a lovely atmosphere and we found everyone so welcoming. Definately recommend going to anyone - we travel a good 3 hours for only 2/3 classes!

Ok. Youtube now officially has everything! Here's a trailor for the aforementioned Hadleigh Show. As you can see it has somethign for everyone....Anyone out there like to tell us all about their favourite show??

These days I'm a non-competitor. But every year I am asked to be the Steward for the Pivate driving at the Hadleigh Show in Suffolk, still thought to be one of the best small horse and agricultural shows in the country! It's in May and it is Fab. Just thinking about it now makes me remember that when the sun shines, Britain is a different world and all us horsey people become a sociable lot again! Roll on Summer and the Show Season......

Looking forward to seeing this group progress. Showing is a real delight at all events, and there's always lots of contraversy. Great to have a chance to have a place to discuss things.

I recieved my first two schedules for 2009 this week - it has really focused me on the season ahead and I thought it would be good to have somewhere to compare notes as the season goes on. Please share your highs and lows and hopefully we can all learn from each other.
