Hi everyone, just found this fantastic group after searching on google. Its nice to know that there are likeminded people out there who love riding ponies, i was beginning to think i was the only one lol...

Hi Major's Mum :-) it's the old growing up/growing old thing isn't it ;-) We might have to grow up but we don't have to grow out of riding ponies ;-)

hi! i am 50 yrs old and have a dales and a dartmoor. i think i am too old now to grow out of ponies! x x

We dont have enough space for anyone to be out 24/7. sadly my pony has Cushings so has to have restricted grazing. Shes also starined a tendon so shes not had the chance to play inthe snow. The horses enjoyed it for about an hour, then wanted to come in!

hi pony people, had much snow.? my ponies live out 24/7 & dont seem bothered by it.

I agree Tweek, & it gives a heck of a buzz when "you +pony" against the world do something clever, like jump a gate/hedge out hunting with grand hunters refusing, or do well in a dressage test or leave the showjumps standing! and also the quiet things like be brilliant with kids or RDA clients. Or just BE themselves with all their naughty cheeky quirks & free-thinking ideas

Hellooooooooooo there's got to be a few of us about I think :-) I have to say, I generally call any horse/pony I think anything of a "pony" as a term of endearment, they only get called horses when they're being a lump and not doing what they're told! There's something more exciting at times riding a pony, much more like it's you pair v's the world, almost like you're in cahoots together :-)
